Why filter your shower water?

Chlorine Chlorine keeps mains water safe on its way to your house. By the time it reaches your shower its job is done, and it's the pool smell you notice when the bathroom fills with steam. Eau Pure's cartridge uses media commonly used for chlorine reduction.

Sediment Pipes shed fine rust and grit, especially in older buildings. Physical layers catch particles before they reach your shower head, and you can see them on a used cartridge.

Odour Some supplies carry a chlorine, metallic or musty note. Activated carbon is in the stack for exactly that.

All questions

If your shower head unscrews from the wall by hand, yes. The fittings are standard 20 mm G1/2″. It also fits at the wall end of a handheld hose. Send us a photo and we'll tell you before you buy.

Like any inline filter, it adds a little resistance, so expect a slight loss of water pressure. A noticeable drop later on usually means the cartridge is due for replacement.

Usually 8 to 14 business days from your order, free and tracked. We dispatch within two business days.

No. It installs by hand in approximately 5–10 minutes. A tea towel helps if the old head is stiff. Wrap the thread with the tape supplied if you get a drip.

No. Nothing is drilled, cut or glued. It unscrews in under a minute and comes with you when you move, and your old head goes back on exactly as it was.

Typically three to six months. Actual life varies with water quality, household usage and local conditions. A big family or long showers sit at the shorter end.

The cartridge includes KDF-55 and calcium sulphite, two media commonly used for chlorine reduction in shower filters. You can check it yourself with a DPD test kit from any pool shop: test the water from the shower head before and after fitting.

Plan on every three to six months. The usual signs are a noticeable drop in water pressure or the chlorine smell coming back. Heavier use or harder water means sooner.
